Our Mission

Since 2021, Strange Octopus Productions is a studio dedicated to authentic and original IP, ethical media technology, and mythic storytelling for a rapidly changing landscape.Our mission is to show the world that human-driven filmmaking without AI remains the heart and soul of the industry.


Our Story

Strange Octopus Corp. is founded by Christopher Lee Zammit.Christopher is a Canadian-Maltese director and VFX supervisor with extensive experience in film and television. His credits include Top Gun: Maverick, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Avengers, Man of Steel, and Halo.After years of helping shape some of the most iconic visuals in cinema, he now focuses on telling his own stories through cinema. His debut feature, Dead Pixels, is a dark comedy / survival horror about burnout, denial, and the cost of invisible labor in creative industries.

A genre-defying dark comedy set inside a VFX studio during the apocalypse. Currently in development.

Halo — DFX Supervisor

Oversaw cinematic sequences for the Paramount+ adaptation of the iconic game series. Led visual storytelling across sci-fi environments and action-driven beats.

Top Gun: Maverick — Asset Supervisor

Oversaw assets including all vehicles, props and digital doubles on this Oscar and VES nominated film from ParamountText

Synopsis

As a deadly pandemic shuts down the world, a creative genius hiding in a low-level VFX studio job must rise to help her burned-out coworkers deliver a film on time... even if it kills them.
